Brunei Princess Hajah Masna attends China International Friendship Conference and Commemorative Events

(AseanAll)  — Brunei Princess Hajah Masna, Ambassador-at-Large at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Brunei recently attended the China International Friendship Conference and Commemorative Events from 10 to 12 October 2024 in Beijing, marking the 70th Anniversary of the Chinese People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), at the invitation of Yang Wanming, President of the CPAFFC.

Hajah Masna joined other foreign dignitaries attending the China International Friendship Conference for a meeting with Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China held at the Great Hall of the People. During the meeting, Xi Jinping in his speech underscored the importance of people-to-people diplomacy in creating a shared community for mankind.

Hajah Masna attended the China International Friendship Conference where Han Zheng, Vice President of the People’s Republic of China; Yang Wanming, President of the CPAFFC; and several foreign dignitaries including Her Royal Highness delivered their remarks.

The Princess also attended a welcoming dinner hosted by Wang Yi, Member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, Director of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China. Both events were held at the Diaoyutai State Guesthouse.

Meanwhile, on 12 October 2024, Madame Gu Xiulian, President of the China–ASEAN Association, hosted the Princess to lunch at the Grand Hotel Beijing.

During the visit to Beijing, the Princess was accompanied by Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran Lela Cheteria Sahibun Najabah Pengiran Anak Haji Abdul Aziz bin Pengiran Jaya Negara Pengiran Haji Abu Bakar.
