Phnom Penh, April 23(AseanAll) — Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith and his spouse met Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on April 23,2024.
According to Lao state news agency KPL, Lao President Thongloun Sisoulith and a high-level delegation arrived in Cambodia on April 23 for a state visit from 23-24 April 2024.
The visit aims to strengthen the long-standing friendship, traditional solidarity and comprehensive and long-lasting strategic partnership between Laos and Cambodia.
During the visit, the president will meet separately with several Cambodian leaders including President of the Senate Hun Sen, President of the National Assembly Khuon Sudary, and Prime Minister Hun Manet.
The president is expected to exchange views with the Cambodian leaders on enhancing Cambodia-Laos cooperation as well as regional and international issues of common interest.
