Singapore Chief of Defence Force visits to Brunei Ministry of Defence

Bandar Seri Begawan, February 2 (AseanAll)  — 02 February 2024 – The Ministry of Defence of Brunei received an official visit from Vice Admiral Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces on 02 February 2024

Shortly after arrival, Aaron Beng inspected the Guard of Honour comprised of personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF). 

Aaron Beng also met separately with Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). 

Both sides reaffirmed their commitments to continue efforts in strengthening bilateral relations towards contributing to the peace and stability of the region as well as explore opportunities to discuss on areas of mutual interest. 

As part of the visit programme, the Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces also attended the Sovereign’s Parade Ceremony for the 22nd Intake of Officer Cadets on Thursday, 1st February 2024 held at Defence Academy, Royal Brunei Armed Forces in Tanah Jambu. 


Brunei Darussalam and Singapore signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation in the field of defence in 2016. Both countries enjoy a close and longstanding bilateral defence relationship through visits, professional exchanges, exercises, training and courses. 


The Chief of Defence Force Singapore Armed Forces is on an official visit to Brunei Darussalam from 31st January to 2nd February 2024.
