Bandar Seri Begawan, July 19 (AseanAll) — On 15 July 2023 , Haji Hassanal Bolkiah , the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam consented to confer state decorations to 26 recipients during an Investiture Ceremony held in conjunction with His Majesty’s 77th birthday celebration.
According to the Brunei Ministry of Defence, a total of 8 senior officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received The Most Honorable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei, Third Class (S.M.B) consisting of 396 Colonel (U) Awang Norudin bin Salleh, 447 Colonel (U) Awang Hishamuddin bin Abidin, 491 Colonel (U) Awang Hismawadi bin Haji Mohd. Said, 497 Colonel Awang Muhamad Wata bin Abdullah Awat, 509 Colonel Pengiran Noor Rumaizi bin Pengiran Othman, 520 Captain Awang Sahibul Bahari bin Haji Zainal Abidin, Royal Brunei Navy, 597 Commander Awang Haji Ainolnizam bin Haji Ibrahim, Royal Brunei Navy, and 665 Lieutenant Colonel Awang Muhamad Roasri Erwan bin Haji Tasrif.
The Investiture Ceremony took place at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Buana, Istana Nurul Iman.
