On July 3, 2023, Ambassador of Algeria to ASEAN Lahcene Kaid Slimane paid a courtesy call on the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political and Security Community Michael Tene at the ASEAN Secretariat.
They discussed current developments in ASEAN and Algeria and the ways and means to enhance ASEAN-Algeria relations, including Algeria’s intention to accede to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia.
