28 Outstanding Indonesian Boys and Girls Graduate from Indonesian School in Tokyo, Japan

Tokyo, June 19 (AseanAll)  — The Republic of Indonesia School in Tokyo/Sekolah Republik Indonesia Tokyo (SRIT) held a graduation ceremony for 28 students from kindergarten to high school at Balai Indonesia Tokyo on June 16. The graduation ceremony coincided with SRIT's 61st anniversary. 

The graduation ceremony was attended by the Deputy Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Japan, John Tjahjanto Boestami. In his speech, he appreciated the hard work of the students and the maximum role of the teachers at SRIT until the students completed their studies.

"Congratulations to all graduates who have completed their studies at this school that we love and are proud of. My appreciation also goes to all teachers for their guidance to our sons and daughters. Today's graduation is a bridge to the next process towards a new page that will certainly be full of challenges and new adventures. Congratulations and success for organising the Education Exhibition which is the culmination of the Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project," said John Tjahjanto Boestami.


"Continue to improve your achievements, expand your network of friends and don't stop learning. Let's take care of SRIT together. We take care of the facilities; we take care of the quality and we take care of the achievements. Don't forget to continue to maintain friendship between you," he added.


Meanwhile, RI School Tokyo Principal Ari Driyaningsih explained that in the 2022/2023 academic year there were three students who successfully entered state universities in Indonesia and Japan and won various international level competitions. The three students are Safrina Azwa Karimah and Zahra Pertiwi who qualified for Ibaraki University, and Yuri Intan Shafira who successfully entered Industrial Engineering at the University of Indonesia.


Not only that, there are 24 students who won the national and international academic competitions. Achievements achieved by SRIT include Macca Tanka Soemadipradja winning 2nd place in Motion Graphic at the IDN International Creative Competition, Zifa Falisha Surachman winning 2nd place at the Microblog Design, and Hana Aisyah Rustam as winner of The Best English 5th Meguro English Speech Contest.


The SRIT graduation ceremony was enlivened with art performances from students such as Sajojo Dance from kindergarten students, Padupa Dance and pencak silat from elementary school students, Merak dance from high school students and angklung art performances.
