Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Pays a Courtesy Call on Myanmar’s Vice President U Nyo Saw

Nay Pyi Taw, May 20 (AseanAll)  — On May 19th,2026, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia paid a courtesy call on Myanmar’s newly elected Vice President U Nyo Saw in Nay Pyi Taw. 

The meeting was attended by Myanmar’s Deputy Minister of the Ministry of the President’s Office U Khin Latt, Myanmar’s Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs U Naing Min Kyaw, and Minister Counselor of the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar Shen Dan.

Ma Jia congratulated U Nyo Saw on his election as Vice President and briefed him on the main content of the outline of the 15th Five-Year Plan of China. She stated that China stands ready to align development strategies with Myanmar’s new government, advance high-quality implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative, deepen practical cooperation in economy and trade, people-to-people exchanges, law-enforcement and security, and other fields, deliver new progress in building a China-Myanmar community with a shared future, and bring great benefits to the two countries and their peoples.

U Nyo Saw thanked China for its long-term support for Myanmar’s peace, stability, and development. He said Myanmar looks forward to strengthening high-level exchanges with China, safeguarding border peace and stability, advancing the construction of the China-Myanmar Economic Corridor, cracking down hard on online gambling and telecommunications fraud, expanding exchanges and cooperation across various sectors, deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership between the two countries, and promoting the building of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future.
