Bangkok, April 24 (AseanAll) — On April 24, 2026 local time, Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul of Thailand met with Member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Bangkok.

Anutin Charnvirakul asked Wang Yi to convey his best wishes to the Chinese leaders, stating that last year Thailand and China jointly celebrated the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations, and the bilateral relationship has reached a new historical starting point.
He noted that he accompanied King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua on a successful visit to China, personally experiencing that the “Thailand and China are one family” has been further cemented. Facing the current turbulent international situation, Thailand firmly adheres to the one-China policy and is willing to work with China to implement the consensus reached by the two heads of state, strengthen the alignment of development strategies, enhance cooperation in various fields, and resolutely combat online gambling and telecom fraud to further make the friendship between Thailand and China rooted in people’s hearts.
Anutin Charnvirakul extended his gratitude for China’s unremitting efforts in helping properly resolve the border conflict between Thailand and Cambodia, adding that he looks forward to China continuing to play a constructive role.

Wang Yi first conveyed the cordial greetings of the Chinese leaders to the Thai side, stating that King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua’s successful state visit to China last year marked a new chapter in the joint construction of a China-Thailand community with a shared future by the two heads of state. China has always been a reliable and dependable strategic partner of Thailand, and the saying “China and Thailand are one family” has a solid public opinion and social foundation, and is showing even broader prospects. Facing a volatile international situation, China is willing to deepen mutual respect, trust and support with Thailand, carry forward traditional friendship, and strengthen strategic coordination. China stands ready to expand cooperation with Thailand in new energy, infrastructure construction, agriculture and other fields, promote the building of a more stable, prosperous and sustainable China-Thailand community with a shared future, and continuously make new contributions to regional stability and development.

Wang Yi stated that China will support Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul in leading Thailand’s new government to accelerate economic development and improve people’s livelihoods. China hopes that Thailand will intensify its efforts to crack down on online gambling and telecom fraud, creating a favorable environment for bilateral relations. As a common friend of Thailand and Cambodia, China is willing to continue to build a platform for the two sides to engage in dialogue, rebuild mutual trust and improve relations.
