Manila, March 11 (AseanAll) — On March 10, 2026,Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Jing Quan visited the University of the Philippines.
The Ambassador met with UP President Angelo A. Jimenez and professor Clarita Carlos, former Philippines National Security Adviser, respectively.
The two sides exchanged views on promoting China-Philippines relations, people-to-people and academic exchanges, higher education and research cooperation. The agreement on the “Chinese Ambassador Scholarship” was signed during the visit.
Jing Quan also paid a visit to the Confucius Institute at the University of the Philippines and held a cordial exchange with faculty and students. Jing Quan encouraged the Institute to continue serving as a bridge to promote mutual understanding and trust.
