Jakarta, March 4 (AseanAll) — Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto reaffirmed the importance of upholding national unity amid global dynamics that could potentially disrupt social harmony, emphasizing that unity serves as a vital foundation for national life, underpinning the stability and continuity of the country’s development.
“The President’s special message to all Indonesians is to safeguard unity, solidarity, and togetherness. The current global situation makes it easier for people to think only from their own perspectives, which could threaten our national harmony, closeness, and unity,” said Chairperson of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR RI) Ahmad Muzani in his statement to the media following a meeting with the President at the State Palace, Jakarta, on March 4, 2026.
Ahmad also stressed that all government efforts to date have been firmly grounded in the pursuit of national interests.
“The President consistently emphasizes that all his actions are dedicated to the nation — to preserving unity, upholding integrity, and safeguarding the sovereignty of the Republic of Indonesia,” he said.
Ahmad also stated that one of the efforts to realize this objective was the meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and national leaders held on March 3, 2026.
The forum, he said, serves as a platform for dialogue and an exchange of views on matters of national development.
“The President welcomed these views with appreciation and took them into consideration as valuable inputs for his decision-making,” he explained.
In this regard, Ahmad also emphasized that the President remains committed to fostering collaborative and inclusive dialogue within the framework of state governance.
“In principle, the President is highly receptive to the views and perspectives of all community and national leaders,” he said.
The meeting between President Prabowo Subianto and national leaders forms part of the Government’s ongoing efforts to strengthen national unity – a key foundation for addressing various global challenges.
Through open leadership, inclusive dialogue, and a steadfast commitment to national interests, all elements of the nation can continue to uphold solidarity and togetherness in realizing a harmonious and sovereign Indonesia.
