Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Attends the Inauguration Ceremony of the Myanmar-China Investment and Trade Promotion Association

Yangon, February 1 (AseanAll)  — On January 31st, 2026,Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia attended at invitation the inauguration ceremony of the Myanmar-China Investment and Trade Promotion Association (MCITP) and delivered remarks. 

The event brought together more than 1,000 people, including Yangon Region Chief Minister U Soe Thein, U Thant Sin Lwin, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Investment and Foreign Economic Relations of Myanmar , U Aye Win, President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) and Honorary President of the MCITP, Lin Wenmeng, President of the Myanmar Chinese Chamber of Commerce, and representatives of Chinese and Myanmar enterprises.


Ma Jia congratulated the MCITP on its establishment, expressing the hope that it would serve as a “catalyst” and “stabilizer” for economic and trade cooperation between China and Myanmar, responding to the development needs of both countries. She called on the business communities of the two countries to take the MCITP’s establishment as a new starting point and jointly write a new chapter in building the China-Myanmar community with a shared future.

The MCITP was officially registered on October 31st, 2025, with its core objectives of fostering the integrated development of enterprises from both countries and upgrading China-Myanmar investment and economic trade.
