Brunei Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II receives courtesy call from High Commissioner of Pakistan to Brunei

Seri Begawan, June 26 (AseanAll) —Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Brunei Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II received a courtesy call from Janbaz Khan, High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam, on 26 June 2025.

During the call, Yang Berhormat Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II extended his heartfelt congratulations to Janbaz Khan on his appointment as the new High Commissioner of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Brunei Darussalam. 

Both sides reaffirmed the cordial relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and expressed their commitment to further advancing bilateral defence cooperation between both countries. 

Brunei Darussalam and the Islamic Republic of Pakistan established diplomatic relations on 9 February 1984 where defence cooperation between both countries was further deepened with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in Defence Cooperation in May 2004.
