Hangzhou, June 19 (AseanAll)  — “This recognition is not only symbolic but also serves as a strong validation of the importance of Indonesia's industrial gas sector and our ever-growing partnership with China,” said Berlianto Situngkir, Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Shanghai, in his remarks at the Indonesia National Theme Day Main Forum IG China 2025 in Hangzhou. 

He added that this partnership in the gas sector is highly strategic for creating a cleaner and safer energy future in the region.

To strengthen cooperation in the gas industry, two Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) have been signed, namely between the China Industrial Gas Member Alliance (CIGMA) and the Indonesian Industrial Gas Association (AGII) for the establishment of a Joint Special Task Force; and between the China Industrial Gas Member Alliance (CIGMA) and Samator Group.

The event was also attended by the Chairman of AGII, Rachmat Harsono, as well as representatives from the gas industry of other countries, including India, South Korea, Turkey, and Russia. PT Samator Indo Gas Tbk., the largest gas company in Indonesia, also participated in this exhibition.

IG China 2025 was held at the Hangzhou International Expo Center on June 18-20, 2025. This annual gas industry activity which has been held for 25 years by CIGMA includes exhibitions, seminars, and discussions aimed at promoting technical exchanges and enhancing business networks and gas industry partnerships on a global platform. In addition to China, similar exhibitions are also held in other countries, one of which is IG INDONESIA 2024 which was held in Jakarta.
