(AseanAll) — Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono received a courtesy call from the Serbian Ambassador to Indonesia, Ivana Golubović-Duboka, at the Indonesian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 16, 2025.

Sugiono congratulated the Serbian Ambassador who presented her letter of credence to the President of Indonesia on May 6, 2025, marking her official assignment in Indonesia.

In the meeting, both parties expressed high appreciation for the strong political relationship between Indonesia and Serbia that has been established for a long time, including through the Non-Aligned Movement and within the framework of ASEAN. It was also emphasized the commitment to promote economic, trade, and investment cooperation to enhance the welfare of the people in both countries.

In the context of social and cultural cooperation, Indonesia and Serbia have an interfaith dialogue forum called the Indonesia – Serbia Bilateral Interfaith Dialogue (ISBID). The 5th ISBID was last held in Belgrade, Serbia, in November 2024. Both parties agreed to continue the intended dialogue.
