Bandar Seri Begawan,April  24 (AseanAll)  —Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Brunei Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II, received a farewell call from Yang Mulia Colonel Russ Corwin, United States of America Defence Attaché to Brunei Darussalam on 24 April 2025.

During the farewell call, both sides reaffirmed the robust and positive bilateral defence and military relations between Brunei Darussalam and the United States, strengthened by various engagements which include among others, exchanges of visits, dialogues, training, courses and exercises underpinned by the Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation signed on 29 November 1994. 

Yang Berhormat Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II also took the opportunity to express his appreciation for Yang Mulia Colonel Russ Corwin’s contributions and support towards strengthening the bilateral defence and military cooperation between both countries.  

Yang Mulia Colonel Russ Corwin assumed the position as Defence Attaché of the United States of America to Brunei Darussalam in July 2022.
