Mandalay,April 6 (AseanAll) — On the afternoon of April 6, Myanmar’s leader Min Aung Hlaing visited the camp of Chinese rescue teams in Mandalay and extended his appreciation to all members of the China Search and Rescue Team, the China International Search and Rescue Team organized and dispatched with the participation of the Chinese army, and the HKSAR search and rescue team for their all-out relief efforts in Myanmar following the earthquake,according to the Ministry of Emergency Management of China.

Min Aung Hlaing said that the Chinese rescue team came from afar to provide support, which is a vivid manifestation of the paukphaw friendship between the two countries. The Chinese rescue team has rich experience in cross-border search and rescue, and Myanmar looks forward to strengthening communication with China and expanding cooperation in emergency rescue, disaster prevention and reduction.
Min Ang Lai stated that the Chinese rescue team's long journey to provide support is a vivid manifestation of the brotherhood between the two countries. As of April 6, Chinese rescue teams have rescued nine survivors in Myanmar.
According to Myanmar media reported on the evening of April 6, the latest statistics show that the strong earthquake that occurred in Myanmar on March 28 has killed 3564 people in the country, 5012 people were injured, and 210 people are missing.
