China-Cambodia Tourism and Culture Promotion Conference Held in Henan Province

(AseanAll)  — The China-Cambodia Tourism and Cultural Promotion Conference was held on February 25,2025 in Zhengzhou City, Henan Province, People’s Republic of China with an aim to promote the tourism potential between the two countries.

The event was held in the presence of Huot Hak, Cambodian Minister of Tourism and Ms. Zhang Min, Deputy Governor of Henan Province as well as key figures in the tourism sector from Cambodia and China.

The event aimed to promote the tourism potential between Cambodia and China, strengthen business networking opportunities between investors and tourism operators from both countries, and foster direct connections.

Additionally, it sought to enhance and expand relations and cooperation in the tourism sector between the public and private sectors of both nations.

Investors and tourism operators from both countries attended the conference had the opportunity to network, create investment opportunities, and connect business networks.

Huot Hak and Zhang Min visited a trade expo organised along the event showcasing the tourism potential of the two countries to participants.

Cambodia has seen a 55 percent increase in the number of Chinese tourists in 2024, according to a report from the Ministry of Tourism.

A total of 848,952 Chinese visitors travelled to Cambodia last year, up 55 percent from 547,798 in the year before, the report said.
