(AseanAll) — On 29 November 2024, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with the recipients of the Australia for ASEAN (Aus4ASEAN) Scholarship, in Sydney.
Dr. Kao shared a snapshot of ASEAN Community building efforts, as well as ASEAN-Australia partnership. He highlighted, among others, the significance of the ASEAN Outlook on the Indo-Pacific (AOIP).
He acknowledged Australia’s support and contribution to the implementation of AOIP, particularly through the Aus4ASEAN scholarship and fellowship.
In moving forward, he shared the ongoing visioning exercise for the ASEAN Community Vision 2045 that would guide ASEAN’s future direction. He encouraged all Aus4ASEAN scholars to contribute towards advancing ASEAN Community building.
