Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Finishes his Tenure in Myanmar and Departs for China

Nay Pyi Taw, July 9 (AseanAll)  — On 8 July 2024, Mr. Chen Hai, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, finished his tenure in Myanmar and departed for China,according to the Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.

Before leaving his post, Chen Hai paid farewell calls on main leaders of Myanmar and relevant government officials, and met with people from across Myanmar society including from economic and cultural sectors, as well as the overseas Chinese community in Myanmar. 

Chen Hai and people from all walks of life reviewed the development of China-Myanmar relations in recent years, and they unanimously expressed their desire to inherit the traditional Phauphaw friendship and promote the building of a China-Myanmar community with a shared future. They wished for peace and prosperity of Myanmar and its people, as well as new progress for China-Myanmar relations.
