Thailand and Belgium to consider launch of direct flights

Davos, January 19 (AseanAll)  — On January 17, 2024 (Davos local time), at the Congress Centre, Davos, the Swiss Confederation, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Srettha Thavisin disclosed about his meeting with Prime Minister Alexander De Croo of the Kingdom of Belgium that the launch of direct flights between Brussels and Thai airports has been discussed, on which the Thai Prime Minister agreed to consider and assign THAI Airways International to look into the matter. 

The two Prime Ministers also had a conversation on increasing the power of Thai passports to simplify visa application process and ease the enter to European countries of Thai nationals. 


They also discussed Thailand-EU FTA negotiation which is now underway.
