Phnom Penh,December 10 (AseanAll) — Cambodia Prime Minister Hun Manet was elected Vice President of the ruling Cambodian People's Party (CPP), bringing the total CPP Vice President to 5.
The election was held at the 44th Central Committee Conference of 5th mandate, at the party's headquarters in Phnom Penh on December 10 under the chairmanship of Hun Sen, CPP President, and Heng Samrin, CPP Honorary President.
In addition, the meeting also voted for 23 more members of the Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee.
With the the newly-elected members, the Standing Committee of the Party Central Committee has now 58 members.
The 44th Central Committee Conference took place during the CPP Extraordinary Congress on December 9-10.
