Philippine Army shooting contingent joins the 31st ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet in Thailand

 (AseanAll)  — The Philippine Army Shooting Contingent (PASCON), composed of 25 shooters, joined the 31st Association of Southeast Asian Nations Armies Rifle Meet (AARM) at the Infantry Training Center, Fort Thanarat, Pran Buri District, Prachuap Khiri Khan, Thailand on November 20, 2023.

 

The said event kicked off in an opening ceremony attended by the Army Vice Commander Brig. Gen. Leodevic B. Guinid together with the participating PASCON. The Army Vice Chief conveyed his well wishes to the PASCON and further inspired the shooters to give their best in this competition as they represent the Philippine Army.

 

Moreover, PASCON Commander Col. William Victorino F. Upano leads the team who will participate in five category: rifle, carbine, machine gun, pistol men, and pistol ladies.

 

The 31st AARM 2023 is anchored on the theme, “Armies collaboration to reinforce ASEAN Centrality” to enhance existing collaboration in solving regional issues and promoting regional development among ASEAN countries including Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, and Vietnam.
