Luang Prabang, November 11 (AseanAll) — On November 10, 2023, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn met with Minister of Public Works and Transport of Lao PDR Ngampasong Muongmany, in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR.
Dr Kao congratulated Lao PDR for the successful chairmanship of the ASEAN Senior Officials Transport Meetings and ASEAN Transport Ministers Meeting in 2023.
Dr Kao also commended Lao PDR for its contributions to the development of regional transport infrastructure, implementation of customs and transport transit procedures, as well as the promotion of efficient transit systems to foster increased trade and economic integration within ASEAN Community.
Dr Kao reiterated the ASEAN Secretariat’s unwavering commitment in ensuring a successful ASEAN Chairmanship under Lao PDR next year.
