Bandar Seri Begawan , June 28 (AseanAll) — Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) made an official visit to the Kingdom of Thailand from 22 until 24 June 2023.

According to the Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam, upon arrival at the Royal Thai Armed Forces Headquarters (RTAF HQ), the Commander of RBAF proceeded to inspect the Guard of Honour mounted by RTAF personnel and paid a courtesy call to General Chalermphon Srisawasdi, Chief of Defence Forces Thailand. Also in attendance was Pengiran Haji Sahari bin Pengiran Haji Salleh, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Brunei Darussalam to Thailand.

During the call, both sides commended the defence relationship between the two countries, acknowledging the long history of friendship built on trust and cooperation.
They also reaffirmed the importance of enhancing defence interactions through various bilateral and multilateral platforms as well as through practical cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
The visit proceeded with the Commander of RBAF being awarded the Honourary Parachutist Badge presented by General Chalermphon Srisawasdi, Chief of Defence Forces Thailand.

The Commander of RBAF also visited the Defence Technology Institute (DTI) where he paid a courtesy call to General Choochart Buakhao, Director-General of DTI.
The Commander of RBAF's official visit signifies the strong camaraderie between the RBAF and the RTAF, which continues to be strengthened through regular exchange of visits, exercises, professional exchanges, trainings and courses.
