Jakarta, April 27 (AseanAll)  —  Indonesia and Australia collaborated to support the development and reform of the education sector in Palestine. The two countries successfully convened a Trilateral Education Dialogue, attended by eleven officials from the Palestinian Ministry of Education and Higher Education on April 27,2026.

“The Trilateral Education Dialogue reflects Indonesia’s commitment to supporting the Palestinian people in rebuilding an education sector affected by conflict,” stated Rina Setyawati, Director of International Development Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, during the closing session of the Dialogue on 25 April 2026.

“Indonesia and Australia share a strong and dynamic partnership through multiple forms of development cooperation. This Education Dialogue marks the first Indonesia–Australia trilateral initiative for Palestine and serves as a pioneer for future collaborations in supporting the development of the State of Palestine,” she further remarked.

At the closing ceremony, the Ambassador of the State of Palestine to the Republic of Indonesia, H.E. Abdulfattah Al-Sattari, expressed appreciation for the efforts of Indonesia and Australia. He also underscored the importance of advancing education in Palestine, including instilling values of peace among the younger generation.

“I highly appreciate this Education Dialogue and am impressed by the implementation of values-based curricula in schools and universities. I hope this experience will serve as a foundation for future cooperation,” said Dr. Ihab Inayyem, Head of the Palestinian Delegation.

“This Education Dialogue delivers on a commitment made by the Australian and Indonesian Foreign Ministers.
