Bangkok, March 10 (AseanAll) — On March 10, 2026, Thai Deputy Government Spokesperson Lalida Periswiwatana disclosed that with the escalating Middle East situation which has been affecting world’s crude oil supply and maritime transport system, resulting in an increase of energy prices in the international markets, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul has directed all Government agencies and state enterprises to comply with the following response measures to alleviate the impacts:

1) Working from Home for Government functions that do not concern public service delivery. This is to reduce energy consumption and enhance resource management efficiency.
2) Suspending overseas field visits or training programs, with activities to be conducted domestically instead.
The Prime Minister has instructed all agencies to implement these measures with priority given to public service delivery, while closely monitoring global economic and energy developments to ensure timely and appropriate adjustment of these measures.
The Thai Government also expects all agencies to utilize resources efficiently and effectively, while maintaining the highest standards of public services.
