Penang, February 17 (AseanAll)  —  On February 17,2026, Chinese Consul General in Penang Zhou Youbin attended the Penang Chinese Town Hall 2026 Chinese New Year Celebration. 

The Governor of Penang T.Y.T Tun Dato' Seri Utama Haji Ramli bin Ngah Talib, Chief Minister of Penang YAB Chow Kon Yeow, Speaker of the Penang State Legislative Assembly Dato' Seri Law Choo Kiang, Minister of Entrepreneur and Cooperatives Development of Malaysia YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Deputy Minister of Women, Family and Community Development YB Lim Hui Ying, Deputy Chief Minister I of Penang YB Dato' Mohamad bin Abdul Hamid, Deputy Chief Minister II of Penang YB Jagdeep Singh Deo A/L Karpal Singh, Penang Chinese Town Hall Chairman Tan Sri Tan Khoon Hai and members of the Parliament and State Legislative Assembly, representatives of Chinese associations and local residents, over 1000 people attended the event.
