(AseanAll)  — On 9 February, 2026, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand Mr. Zhang Jianwei and his spouse Ms. Miao Haiyan paid an official courtesy call on Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn at Srapathum Palace.

Zhang Jianwei noted that China and Thailand are close and friendly neighbors. Last year, the two countries warmly celebrated the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations. His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Suthida, paid a historic state visit to China. Under the strategic guidance of the heads of state of the two countries, China-Thailand relations have demonstrated a strong momentum of growth. China stands ready to work closely with Thailand to implement the important common understandings reached by the two leaders and foster greater progress in the building of the China-Thailand community with a shared future. The Thai royal family has long cared for and supported China-Thailand friendship. China highly cherishes the traditional friendship with the Thai royal family and looks forward to Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn’s 57th visit to China.

Her Royal Highness Princess Sirindhorn expressed her anticipation for her upcoming visit to China. Noting that China is vast in territory and abundant in resources, she said she hopes to travel more and see for herself new development and achievements in China, and looks forward to more exchanges and cooperation between Thailand and China in such fields as culture, education, science and technology, and innovation.
