Bangkok, February 13 (AseanAll)  — On February 11, 2026, Chinese Ambassador to Thailand Mr. Zhang Jianwei and his spouse Ms. Miao Haiyan hosted the 2026 Chinese New Year Reception “Warm Spring Festival, Celebrating Chinese New Year Together” at the Embassy. 

Among the over 700 guests were Mr. Anutin Charnvirakul, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand and his spouse, Mr. Dhanin Chearavanont, Chairman of the China Federation of Overseas Chinese Entrepreneurs and Senior Chairman of Charoen Pokphand Group, as well as senior Thai officials and members of the Thai-Chinese community.

Ambassador Zhang Jianwei extended festive greetings and best wishes to all guests, commending the overseas Chinese community for their contribution to the development and win-win cooperation of both countries. He expressed his hope for continued progress in China-Thailand relations under the strategic guidance of the two heads of state. 

Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul delivered an enthusiastic speech in Chinese, extending gratitude to the Chinese side on behalf of the Thai Government and people for the thoughtful arrangements made during His Majesty the King’s visit to China, and wishing a happy Chinese New Year to the overseas Chinese in Thailand and everlasting China-Thailand friendship.

The Embassy, in collaboration with the Thai-Chinese Chamber of Commerce, the TioChew Association of Thailand, and many other Thai-Chinese organizations, prepared an extensive program showcasing Chinese culture, cuisine and interactive technology. The event was imbued with festive vibes and rich Chinese New Year flavours.
