Dili, February 3 (AseanAll)  — On February 1st,2026,Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste Wang Wenli attended the Spring Festival Cultural Gala and Chinese Language Certificate Award Ceremony hosted by the Confucius Classroom at the Institute Of Business（IOB）of Timor-Leste. 

Also in attendance were Mr. Pinto, vice president of IOB, professor Zheng Ji’e of the Confucius Classroom, as well as approximately 200 guests including representatives from Chinese enterprises, the overseas Chinese community, and local faculty and students.

Wang Wenli  extended her sincere Chinese Spring Festival greetings to all the guests and congratulated the students who had received the excellent certificate in their Chinese language studies. 

Wang Wenli  pointed out that the Chinese Spring Festival is the most important traditional festival of the Chinese nation. With the continuous deepening of China-Timor-Leste relations and the growing mutual understanding between the two peoples, the Chinese Spring Festival has entered Timor-Leste and become an integral part of the local diverse culture spectrum. 

Wang Wenli  encouraged young students to study Chinese hard, understand Chinese culture, and strive to serve as the bridge for friendly exchanges and cultural mutual learning between China and Timor-Leste. The Chinese side will continue to support more outstanding Timorese students to study in China through channels such as the Chinese Government Scholarship.

Students from the IOB performed Hanfu (traditional Chinese dress) shows, recitations, dramas, dances and other programs, creating a lively and joyful atmosphere.
