Manila, January 30 (AseanAll) — Philippine President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. has ordered the regular monitoring of government agencies and their projects, requiring progress reports every two weeks to ensure transparency and accountability in the implementation of priority programs, Malacañang said on January 30, 2026.

Marcos presided over a meeting that day with his economic team and urged all agencies to push forward with their programs and projects, according to Presidential Communications Office (PCO) Undersecretary and Palace Press Officer Claire Castro.
“Ipag-uutos din ni Pangulong Marcos Jr. ang pagmo-monitor sa mga ahensiya at kanilang mga proyekto kada dalawang linggo para makita ang progress or progreso nito,” Castro said during the regular Palace press briefing.
“Huwag ninyong subukang magbigay ng maling report,” she added.
Castro said a monitoring mechanism will be implemented to ensure project reports are accurate and not overstated.
As everyone responds to the call for reforms, Castro said the President wants not just to move forward, but also to adopt a more efficient and accurate reporting process across every agency.
“Ang sinabi niya, kapag nagkaroon ng report, ayaw niya na dahil lang sa magkakaroon ng monitoring every two weeks ay maliin ang report o papogiin ang report. So, ayaw ng Pangulo ng maling report,” she said.
Officials or personnel submitting false or inaccurate reports may suffer the consequences, such as dismissal from service, the Palace official said, noting that as public servants, they must render high-quality service to the public.
