Sakaeo, January 26 (AseanAll) — On January 26, 2026,at the Taphraya Task Force, Sakaeo province, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul presided over the debriefing on the military operations in Sa Kaeo Province.

Attending the meeting were Prime Minister’ Secretary General Traisuree Taisaranakul, Permanent Secretary to Ministry of Interior Ansit Samphantharat, Director General of the Department of Provincial Administration Narucha Khosasilvilai, Director General of the Department of Local Administration Teeruth Supawiboonpol, Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Army Gen. Chaiyapruek Duangpraphat, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Royal Thai Armed Forces Gen Natthapong Praokaew, and heads of relevant agencies.
The Prime Minister watched a video presentation and listened to the debriefing on Thailand – Cambodia Situation in Sakaeo province presented by Burapha Task Force’s Chief of Operations Division Lt. Col. Olarn Khorom. He, then, thanked the Burapha Task Force, Sakaeo’s Taphraya Task Force, and all relevant sectors for their close and integrated operations to assist affected victims along the border areas, both in terms of life and property safety, facilitations, and initial relief provision.
Such integrated operations reflect strong collaborations between the military, security, civilian, and administration agencies who have played the integral parts in boosting public confidence and trust. The Prime Minister commended all operating officers for their sacrifice in performing duties to protect national interest and public safety. The Government commits to maximize budget utilization to ensure that the benefits go directly to affected individuals, and as it has placed utmost priority on national security, the Government will also take the best possible care of all the military personnel. In light of this, he called on all related agencies to expedite relief and remedy provision to families of the deceased soldiers in a comprehensive and fair manner, and provide medical care, physical and mental rehabilitation for the injured, as well as help them with future professions and employments.
The Prime Minister, then, took on the body armor and closely inspected military operation areas in Sakaeo province. There, he listened to the situation update and gave his moral support to the frontline personnel. He also witnessed the handover of compensation to victims who have suffered from the acts committed by foreign armed forces along the Thailand-Cambodia border in the province.
