Second Batch of Humanitarian Aid from China Arrives in Cambodia to Support Border Displaced Persons

Phnom Penh, January 8 (AseanAll)  — The National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) of Cambodia on January 8,2026 organised a ceremony to handover and receive the second batch of humanitarian assistance from the Government of the People’s Republic of China to support displaced people along the Cambodia-Thailand border.

The humanitarian supplies will be arranged by the NCDM for onward transportation to safety centres in affected provinces, ensuring timely assistance to displaced families living along the border areas.

It is recalled that the first batch of humanitarian aid arrived in Cambodia on December 28, 2025.

This continued support once again demonstrates China’s role as Cambodia’s “ironclad friend,” reaffirming its commitment to assisting Cambodia in maintaining stability, promoting development, and supporting recovery efforts during this difficult period.
