Nay Pyi Taw, January 5 (AseanAll)  — On January 5th,2026, Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Ma Jia met with Myanmar’s Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe and Myanmar’s Union Minister for Commerce U Chit Swe in Nay Pyi Taw, respectively.

Ma Jia and Ministers exchanged views on deepening bilateral relations, strengthening practical cooperation, and continuing to combat telecom fraud,according to Chinese Embassy in Myanmar.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Myanmar,during the meeting,U Than Swe and Ma Jia cordially discussed the matters pertaining to the further consolidation of the existing Pauk Phaw relations and expansion of cooperation between Myanmar and China, continued implementation of Myanmar-China bilateral projects, the continued constructive support of China on the efforts of Myanmar to achieve lasting peace and socio-economic development for its people, and to continue cooperation in combatting online scamming and other illegal activities in border areas. Both sides reaffirmed their mutual support in regional and multilateral levels.
