Jakarta, December 11(AseanAll) — On December 11, 2025, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn received a courtesy call by the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Mekong River Commission Secretariat (MRCS), Busadee Santipitaks, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat.
They exchanged views on the alignment between the ASEAN Community Vision (ACV) 2045 and the MRC Strategic Plan 2026-2030, discussed potential areas of collaboration, including environmental protection, water resource management, and disaster management.
The meeting also explored the possibility of convening an annual ASEAN-MRC dialogue in line with the Cooperation Framework between ASEAN and MRC.
Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on December 9, 2025 hosted a reception for Secretary of the Russian Security Council Sergey Shoigu, who is on a working visit to Viet Nam from December 8 to 10.
