Malacca, December 13 (AseanAll) — On 10 December, 2025, the Closing Ceremony of the 2024-2025 ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges was held in Malacca, Malaysia,according to the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC).
Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia sent a congratulatory letter.

Among the attendees were Mohd Ali Rustam, Governor of Malacca, Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries (CPAFFC), Abdul Majid Ahmad Khan, President of the Malaysia-China Friendship Association (MCFA), Korn Dabbaransi, President of the Thai-China Friendship Association and former Thai Deputy Prime Minister as well as representatives from friendship associations of ASEAN countries and Chinese provinces including Fujian, Henan, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region. Ambassador Shi Zhongjun, Secretary General of the ASEAN-China Centre (ACC), was invited to attend and deliver a speech.
At the closing ceremony, the “Top Ten Projects” and “Best Organizations” of the ASEAN-China Year of People-to-people Exchanges were presented. The ACC was awarded the Best Organization Award. Projects like ASEAN-China Week co-hosted by the ACC won"Top Ten Projects".

On the eve of the closing ceremony, the guests toured the historical and cultural districts of Malacca, visited the Working Committee of Malacca's Historic City (Jonker Walk), the Photo Exhibition of China-Malaysia friendship, enjoyed traditional Malaysian and Chinese singing and dancing, and jointly planted an ASEAN-China Friendship Tree.
