Manila, December 12 (AseanAll) — On December 10, 2025, Chinese Ambassador-designate to the Philippines Jing Quan paid a courtesy call on Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the Philippines Maria Theresa Lazaro.
The two sides exchanged views on China-Philippines relations, maritime and Taiwan-related issues, people-to-people exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, and the protection of the lawful rights and interests of Chinese nationals in the Philippines.
Ambassador-designate Jing Quan presented an open copy of credentials to the Philippine Assistant Secretary of Foreign Affairs and Director-General of Protocol Ariel Rodelas Peñaranda on December 9 after arriving in Manila on December 6.
