Chinese Ambassador to Singpore attends the 2025 Belt and Road Textile Conference

(AseanAll)  — On November 20, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Singpore Cao Zhongming attended and addressed 2025 Belt and Road Textile Conference. 

Sun Ruizhe, President of  China National Textile and Apparel Council, Mark Lee, Vice-Chairman and Honorary Treasurer of the Singapore Business Federation, and approximately 150 representatives from political and business circles of Belt and Road participating countries attended the event. Counselor Kang Yiming of the Chinese Embassy was present.

In his remarks, Cao Zhongming stated that the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee reviewed and adopted the draft proposals for formulating the 15th Five-Year Plan, making specific arrangements for expanding high-level opening-up and sending a strong signal that China is committed to open and mutually beneficial cooperation, which will inject more energy and certainty into global development. The textile industry is a vivid microcosm of the achievements of the Belt and Road Initiative. Ambassador Cao expressed hope that all countries would jointly explore new development paths for the textile industry, help more textile enterprises benefit from the opportunities of Belt and Road cooperation and achieve win-win results.

Belt and Road Textile Conference was jointly hosted by the Textile Industry Branch of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and the China Enterprises Association (Singapore). 

After the forum, Cao Zhongming visited the 2nd Asia-Pacific Textile and Apparel Supply Chain Expo, held concurrently with the forum.
