Dili, November 20 (AseanAll) — On November 19th, 2025, Chinese Ambassador to Timor-Leste Ms. Wang Wenli met with Mr. Hélder Lopes, Governor of Central Bank of Timor-Leste.
The two sides exchanged views on China-Timor-Leste bilateral relations, the international economic situation, cooperation in the financial sector, and risk prevention and resolution.
Wang Wenli introduced the modern financial system with Chinese characteristics. She stated that in the face of the current complex and volatile economic situation, as traditional friendly countries, China and Timor-Leste could strengthen policy exchanges in the economic and financial fields, explore potential areas of cooperation, and achieve sustainable socio-economic development.
