Kuala Lumpur,November 19 (AseanAll) — On November 19, 2025,Global Chinese Economic & Technology Summit 2025 has convened in Kuala Lumpur,Malaysia.
Present were Malaysia’s Deputy Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Dr. Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, Chinese Ambassador to Malaysia Ouyang Yujing, and Malaysian Chinese Association (MCA) President Datuk Seri Dr. Wee Ka Siong, along with other dignitaries.

Ouyang Yujing highlighted China's economic and technological achievements throughout the 14th Five-Year Plan period, as well as the grand blueprint to continue advancing Chinese-style modernization in the 15th Five-Year Plan Recommendations, which shows China's firm determination and confidence in expanding high-level opening-up.

The Chinese Ambassador also stated that when Chinese Premier Li Qiang attended the Leaders' Meetings on East Asian Cooperation in Malaysia, China and ASEAN signed the Free Trade Area 3.0 Upgrade Protocol. This marks a progress in free trade cooperation and regional economic integration between the two sides, expanding from traditional areas into emerging fields such as the digital economy, green economy, standards and technical regulations, and supply chain connectivity.
Ahmad Zahid lauded the high-level pragmatic cooperation between China and Malaysia, as well as between China and ASEAN. He said that Malaysia and China will continue to work together to deepen cooperation in the digital industry and green industry, expand talent exchanges, and strengthen supply chain resilience.
