Thai Foreign Minister has a bilateral discussion with Singaporean Foreign Minister

Singapore, October 22 (AseanAll)  — On 21 October 2025, Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Dr. Vivian Balakrishnan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Singapore, on the occasion of the former’s official visit to Singapore.

The Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs expressed appreciation for the close relations between Thailand and Singapore. Both sides discussed ways to enhance mutually beneficial cooperation, particularly in food security, trading of rice and exports of agricultural products, attracting Singapore’s investments to target industries, such as data centers and semiconductors, strengthening cooperation in the areas of digital and green economies, and enhancing collaboration in public health.

In addition, both sides exchanged views on regional issues, including the strengthening of the ASEAN framework, the impacts of U.S. tariffs, the Myanmar situation, and the Thailand - Cambodia situation. Thailand emphasizes the importance of resolving the situation in Cambodia through peaceful means by making full use of existing bilateral mechanisms and hopes that the Cambodian side will cooperate with sincerity and in good faith.
