Bandar Seri Begawan, October 21 (AseanAll)  — On October 21,2025,Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Brunei Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II, received an introductory call from Tamer Mansy, High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam. 

During the call, the Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II congratulated Tamer Mansy on his appointment as the High Commissioner of Canada to Brunei Darussalam. He also highlighted the cordial defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and Canada through various defence and military interactions in the regional and international defence fora. 

Both sides expressed their commitment to further enhance cooperation defence and military fields between the countries in the future.

Tamer Mansy presented his Letter of Credence to the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 18 October 2025.
