Royal New Zealand Air Force Chief Makes Introductory Visit to Singapore

(AseanAll)  — Chief of the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) Air Vice-Marshal (AVM) Darryn Webb called on Singapore Minister for Defence Mr Chan Chun Sing on the morning of July 23,2025.

During their meeting, Mr Chan and AVM Webb reaffirmed the close and long-standing relationship between the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) and the RNZAF, and discussed ongoing efforts to enhance defence cooperation between both air forces, including the conduct of professional exchanges, and the RSAF’s Unmanned Aerial System training in New Zealand.

AVM Webb, who was in Singapore from 22 to 24 Jul 2025 for his introductory visit, also called on Singapore Chief of Defence Force Vice Admiral Aaron Beng and Chief of Air Force Major-General Kelvin Fan, and inspected a Guard of Honour at the Ministry of Defence. AVM Webb also visited Sembawang Air Base tomorrow morning as part of his visit.

AVM Webb’s visit to Singapore underscores the strong partnership between the RSAF and the RNZAF. Both air forces interact regularly through professional exchanges, visits, cross attendance of courses and participation in multilateral exercises such as Exercises Pitch Black and Bersama Lima. These mutually beneficial interactions have deepened the bilateral defence relationship, and strengthened trust and interoperability between both air forces and their personnel.
