Brunei Sultan Bestows State Honorary Medals to officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence of Brunei

 (AseanAll)  — Haji Hassanal Bolkiah, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, has consented to award the State Honorary Medals of Brunei Darussalam to officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam. 

According to the Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam on 28 April 2025, the Investiture Ceremony took place at the Balai Singgahsana Indera Kenchana, Istana Nurul Iman. 

Brunei Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office officiated the conferment of the State Honorary Medals as His Majesty’s personal representative. Also in attendance were Brunei Prince ‘Abdul Malik.

The State Honours Medals conferred included Decorations, 10 personnel awarded the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (P.J.K.), the Pingat Indah Kerja Baik (P.I.K.B.) awarded to 29 personnel and the Pingat Pahlawan (P.P.) to one recipient from the Ministry of Defence. 

Present at the event were Yang Amat Mulia Pengiran–Pengiran Cheteria, Cabinet Ministers, Members of Council, Deputy Ministers, Pengiran – Pengiran Peranakan, Pehin–Pehin Manteri, Manteri–Manteri Hulubalang, Ambassadors, High Commissioners, Permanent Secretaries, Deputy Permanent Secretaries and Head of Departments.
