(AseanAll) — On April 23, 2025, at the Senate House of Cambodia, Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra paid a courtesy call on HUN SEN, President of the Senate and head of the Supreme Privy Council of Cambodia.
The Prime Minister appreciated the courtesy call and the warm welcome, and was very pleased to have paid an official visit to Cambodia, and met with Samdech Hun Sen to exchange views and experiences. Thailand and Cambodia have had long-standing and close relations with regular exchanges of high-level visits. The official visit is the 2nd visit to Cambodia of the Thai Prime Ministers during Prime Minister’s Hun Manet’s premiership. It is also aimed to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of the Establishment of Diplomatic Relations between Thailand and Cambodia.
The Prime Minister and Hun Sen also discussed issues of mutual interest, and came to terms to further strengthen relations and cooperation between Thailand and Cambodia, and promote peace and prosperity of the two countries, as well as economic cooperation and trade and investment amidst global economic volatility. The Prime Minister also sought support of Samdech Hun Sen in elevating safety, wellbeing, and economic stability of people of the two countries.
Both parties also discussed regional situation, and agreed on the strengthening of cooperation among ASEAN member countries and between ASEAN and other economic integrations.
