(AseanAll) — Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, on February 14, 2025 welcomed the Permanent Representative of Malaysia to ASEAN, Ambassador Sarah Al Bakri Devadason, for a meeting at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat.
The meeting discussed the priorities of Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, including the progress towards Timor-Leste’s membership in ASEAN, and exchanged views on regional issues of importance.
Dr. Kao took the opportunity to reiterate the ASEAN Secretariat’s full support to the work of ASEAN, including the work of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR), and expressed his confidence in Malaysia’s leadership of ASEAN this year.
