AIIB and IAEA Sign Letter of Intent to Forge Partnership for Development Impact

(AseanAll)  — The Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) on March 25, 2026 signed a letter of intent to support members in building national capacity across key development sectors.

AIIB President Zou Jiayi and IAEA Director General Rafael Mariano Grossi signed the letter at AIIB’s headquarters in Beijing. It formalizes the institutions’ commitment to deepen strategic cooperation, building on their existing partnership in the health sector under the One Health approach. AIIB and IAEA will now expand their collaboration beyond health to environment, water, agriculture and energy planning.
