Re-elected Thai Prime Minister affirms readiness to work with all MPs regardless of their parties

Bangkok, March 19 (AseanAll)  — On March 19, 2026, Thai Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Anutin Charnvirakul attended the 4 th session of the 27 th House of Representatives, the 1 st Year, (First Annual Ordinary Session) where he expressed appreciation toward MPs for nominating him as Prime Minister.

Prior to the voting session, the Prime Minister affirmed that in his heart all MPs carry equal weight, as a representative of the Thai people, regardless of the party they are under and whether or not they cast votes in support of him. He is open to accept all advices, criticism, and recommendations should he be entrusted to serve the country as head of the Government.

The Prime Minister also committed to putting utmost dedication in working together with all MPs, who represent the Thai people across the country, to bring the greatest benefit and happiness to Thailand and its people. He also pledged to heed and follow His Majesty the King's sayings at the opening of Parliament on March 14, 2026 which underscored righteousness and people’s wellbeing as top priority, and that all deliberations in this Parliament must be proceed in accordance with constitutional principles for utmost benefit the nation and its people.

The Prime Minister emphasized that he regarded all MPs as friends and colleagues who share a common goal, that is, the benefit of the nation and people. If entrusted with the responsibility of the Prime Minister, he and his Government committed to fully supporting the Legislative and working together with this Parliament. With due respect for the decisions of all MPs, whatever the outcome may be, he humbly accepts their judgment.

The Prime Minister took the occasion to express gratitude to those who voted in support of him to become the Prime Minister in September last year; and civil servants and the people whose support has enabled the Government to administer the nation. Being a minority Government has not been an obstacle to driving the country forward and achieving many goals. While many challenges remain to be resolved, he is confident that with the cooperation of all parties, the Government will continue to efficiently administer the nation and swiftly address problems to ensure Thailand’s greatest benefit.
