Thai Foreign Minister holds bilateral meeting with Vietnamese Foreign Minister on the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat

Cebu, January 30 (AseanAll)  — On 28 January 2026, Mr. Sihasak Phuangketkeow, Thai Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Mr. Le Hoai Trung, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Viet Nam, on the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat in Cebu, the Philippines.

Both sides discussed the celebration of the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two nations in 2026, exchanges of high-level visits and bilateral meetings, as well as economic cooperation, including ways to support Thai businesses in Viet Nam. 

Both sides also exchanged views on regional issues, including the situation in Myanmar and Thailand - Cambodia border situation.
