Bandar Seri Begawan, January 21 (AseanAll)  — On January 19th, 2026, Chen Shaochun, Ambassador-Designate of the People’s Republic of China to Brunei Darussalam, paid a visit to Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Orang Kaya Pekerma Dewa Dato Seri Setia Awang Lim Jock Seng, former Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Second Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade of Brunei.

Chen Shaochun extended New Year greetings to Pehin Lim and expressed appreciation for his long-term contributions to China-Brunei relations.

Ambassador Chen hoped that Pehin Lim would continue to care and support the work of the Embassy, as well as to provide advice for China-Brunei friendship and the building of a China-Brunei community with a shared future.

Pehin Lim welcomed Ambassador Chen to Brunei, highlighted that Brunei and China enjoyed profound friendship, the bilateral cooperation has made notable achievements, and believed that Brunei-China relationship will continue to flourish with joint efforts from both sides.
